Boys Soccer -- 6A First Round

Central Catholic 8, North Medford 0 – Fritz Kabeiseman was a force for the Rams (12-1-2) in their dominant win.

Summit 1, McMinnville 0 -- Kyle Capdevila collected a cross from Simon Kidder and scored off of a header in the eighth minute for the Storm (14-1), who won for the ninth straight time and recorded their 12th shutout of the season. Khael Engelman was outstanding in goal for Summit.

David Douglas 3, Sherwood 0 -- Isaac Rangel scored in the first half and David Ghising and Michael Freeman put balls in the back of the net in the second for the Scots at home.

Grant 5, West Salem 0

Tigard 2, Cleveland 1

West Linn 4, McKay 1Garrett Wiancko scored a terrific goal on a header in host West Linn’s determined effort.

South Eugene 2, Westview 0 The Axe (13-1-1) scored two second-half goals to advance in the 6A playoffs. Sai Bliss-King scored the first South Eugene goal off of a nifty assist from Devin Emerson midway through the second stanza. Jake Hoffman added an insurance tally nine minutes later.

Gresham 3, Franklin 1 -- Gresham controlled the action for most of the match, but the Gophers led only 2-1 at halftime before scoring with six minutes to go to ice it. Daniel Nunez opened the scoring for Gresham in the seventh minute and Gabe Fuerte made it 2-0 Gophers midway through the half before Franklin's Ethan Snyder tallied to tighten things up.

Forest Grove 1, South Medford 0Oscar Macias scored off of a set piece one minute before halftime to give the Vikings (11-3-1) the win in a defensive struggle against a South Medford team that was riding a four-match winning streak.

Lincoln 2, Clackamas 0 – Lincoln scored twice in the second half on goals from Sam Denton and Christopher Lambert to prevail in a match that was competitive for the entire 80 minutes.

Lake Oswego 3, Centennial 2 – The Lakers eliminated Centennial in the playoffs by one goal for the second straight year.

Jesuit 2, Bend 1 (O.T.) – Jesuit rallied from a goal down to tie on an Oscar Baudey header in the second half, then won on an unassisted free kick from Jack Chesnutt in the second overtime. Chesnutt missed a month earlier in the season due to injury.

Sunset 3, Reynolds 2 (PKs) -- Sunset keeper Kellen Guillon tipped a shot over the bar to help the Apollos advance over Reynolds in a penalty kick shootout after the teams were tied at 2-2 through regulation and two overtimes. Ellis Hardwood scored twice in the first half for the victors.

Beaverton 3, McNary 1 – Down1-0 at the break, Beaverton scored three unanswered in the second half to get by the Celtics at home. Hunter Jose got the scoring started for the Beavers with a header off of Michael Hernandez’ corner kick in the 60th minute. AJ King scored the go-ahead goal five minutes later and Ramiro Espindola completed the scoring five minutes after that with this seventh tally of the season, a far post shot from six yards out.

Liberty 3, Tualatin 2

Aloha 3, Glencoe 0 -- Ohm Harape scored the first of his two goals in the 23rd minute for Aloha, which was the aggressor throughout in the 3-0 win at Glencoe. Lazar Djurdevic netted the second goal for the Warriors.
