Senior RB Viggo Anderson had 126 yards of total offense with two TDs and junior QB Sloan Baker had 318 yards and four TDs in his first career start. The Lions had nearly 500 yards in total offense. .. No. 8 Nelson pulled off the upset of No. 4 Lakeridge 26-21 behind three touchdown passes from new starting QB Danny Leary. Ian Nix caught two of them, one for 66 yards and the other for 81 as the Hawks picked up the biggest win in the program’s young history. ... No. 2 Lake Oswego went down south and took care of business in a 40-3 win over South Medford despite Utah-commit running back LaMarcus Bell not playing due to a tender hamstring. QB Hudson Kurland threw for 207 yards and three TDs while adding a 40-yard rushing TD of his own. ...
No. 5 Tualatin jumped out to a 21-0 lead after the first quarter against Clackamas and never looked back in a 49-14 victory. Senior QB Owen Hagerman threw for 252 yards and three TDs while junior QB Carter Powers, battling for the starting spot still, had 155 yards and a touchdown. ... Sandy outscored Sunset 56-32 thanks to seven total touchdowns by the Pioneers. Junior QB Micaiah Turin threw for 198 yards and three scores while senior running back Caden McMahon had 14 carries for 97 yards and a TD, as well as four catches for 62 yards and a TD.

5A No. 2 Summit outlasted 6A Sprague 36-26 behind a balanced offensive attack. QB Andrew Guthrie threw for 162 yards and three TDs while Jude Anderson ran for 122 yards. Connor Conneely had two TD catches and an interception, and Cade Mackeson had a 92-yard kickoff return. ... No.6 West Albany blanked No. 8 Canby 28-0 as Beau Harvey led the offensive attack. The junior QB had three rushing touchdowns to support the defense that kept the Cougars off the scoreboard all night. ... No. 3 Mountain View got a pick-six from junior TE/DL Jettson Gillam to help seal a 49-14 victory over Springfield. Junior wideout Krew Harrison had a highlight-reel one-handed grab for the game's opening score, then Ryder Carpenter and Angel Valenzuela did the rest on the ground with Carpenter posting 150 rushing yards and two TDs and Valenzuela gaining 113 yards and one TD. ...
No. 4 Silverton scored with 9:28 left in the game to go up 21-14 on the road at Coeur D’Alene, and ultimately held on for the win. Senior Logan Uitto had a 60-yard punt return TD to open the scoring while senior QB Chase Dominguez threw TD passes, the second of which was the game winner to senior Sutton Kuenzi from 18 yards out. ... 4A No. 1 Marist Catholic scored first, but 5A No. 9 Churchill scored the next 34 to win 34-7. Senior Lukas Babbitt did the heavy lifting with three scores on the ground. ... Ridgeview welcomed in a new turf field with a 49-0 drubbing of Woodburn. Senior QB Gage Hobbs threw three TDs while senior RB Alex Deuser had a 1-yard TD run and a 22-yard TD run. ...
North Eugene recovered a fumble against Crescent Valley in the first quarter and took it back 27 yards for a TD in what was ultimately a 23-6 Highlanders win. ... McNary kept it close, but ultimately it was two fourth-quarter touchdowns that got Redmond the 28-12 victory on the road. Kameron Losoya scored twice on the ground while Parker Gibson and Carter Wachs caught the two fourth-quarter touchdowns. ... A 21-point third quarter powered Central to a 28-12 victory over Eagle Point. Quarterback JT Girod went 21-for-30 for 226 yards and three TDs while the Panthers’ defense recovered two fumbles. ... A couple Jose Rodriguez touchdowns for Crater weren’t enough as Marshfield took down the Comets 41-30. The Pirates had 297 yards on the ground and five rushing touchdowns to get the win.

Down 17-14 with 44 seconds left after an Astoria touchdown, North Bend ran a hook-and-ladder play to perfection to score with two seconds left and win 20-17. QB Conner Johnson connected with Hunter Christensen, who then lateralled the ball to Jackson Swanson, who carried it 31 of the 55 total yards on the play to the house. ... No. 2 Cascade made quick work of Baker in a 36-6 victory. Matthew Hinkle returned a block punt for a touchdown and had two touchdowns on the ground to build a 36-0 lead at halftime. ... Logan Mitchell threw for 56 yards and two TDs while Bryson Cates and Josh Brackenbury each ran for a TD in a 27-6 victory for The Dalles over Umatilla. ...
A bad snap on a punt led to the first score, then a scramble TD by Jack Wright made it 14-0 Burns in what was ultimately a 42-0 blanking of Ontario to open the year. ... Junior Kevin Hurliman threw for 139 yards and a TD to help No. 6 Tillamook down No. 7 Estacada 24-6. The Rangers offense was stymied all night while the Cheesemakers were held scoreless in the second half. But touchdown runs from Griffyn Boomer and Joshua Manns in the first half were enough for the win. ... No. 5 Philomath and No. 9 Stayton were tied at halftime 21-21, but the Eagles soared in the second half to win 52-27. Senior RB Wyatt Fred ran for three total touchdowns while the Eagles’ defense picked up four total turnovers. ...
No. 4 Scappoose ran away from No. 10 Pendleton/Nixyaawii in a 56-29 win at home. With Pendleton up 14-13 and 3:35 left in the first half, Scappoose scored three more touchdowns with a scoop and score fumble from Brayden Miller and a 75-yard kickoff return from Nolan Lennox after Pendleton had scored to make it 28-21. QB William Kessi threw TD passes to Dexter Olson in the second half, and Elijah Greenan Biggs scored his second TD of the game on the ground to ultimately allow Scappoose to pull away.

Phoenix scored twice in both the first and third quarters for a 35-9 win over Madras. Pirates junior QB Trae Casteel threw for four touchdowns and rushed for another to be involved in all five scores. ... No. 2 Cascade Christian won an early top-five matchup with No. 4 Vale on Saturday 29-13. Bryson Walker had 132 yards and two rushing TDs while Caleb Scaglione had one rushing TD and caught a 27-yard TD pass from Deryk Farmer in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.

No. 1 St. Paul maintained its edge on No. 2 Oakland in a rematch of last year’s state title game with the Buckaroos escaping once again, this time 28-22. The Bucks led 22-6 at halftime before Oakland made a comeback to try and close the gap. ... Sheridan came back to take a 22-20 win over Oakridge after trailing 14-0. Travis Lugo scored a 2-yard touchdown to get the Spartans back in it while QB Benicio DePiero had some big runs to lead the comeback. ... Gold Beach turned back No. 9 Weston-McEwen 32-14 at home thanks to a strong ground game led by Nolan Timeus and Darryn Westerman. The two combined for 167 yards and Timeus had three TDs, meanwhile the defense picked up four sacks between Aidan Keller, JJ Logan and Dexter Moore. ... 2A No. 3 Heppner did all its damage in the first half of a 43-6 win over 1A-8 No. 4 Crane. Caleb George ran for 40 yards and three TDs as the Mustangs ended the game with 302 total yards on the ground. QB Caylan Proudfoot completed four passes for 51 yards and a score.

Caden Rasmussen had two rushing touchdowns and Carson Yancey had a 70-yard kickoff return to power a 36-20 No. 6 Union win over Imbler. ... After an 0-8 2024 campaign, Elgin is back in the win column thanks to a 52-16 victory over Glendale. Hunter Myers had three rushing TDs and also threw for two more, meanwhile Kale Williamson forced a fumble on defense that was returned for a TD by Logan Arnold from 40 yards out. ... All the points scored in No. 8 Powder Valley’s 20-8 win over Echo came in the first half as the Badgers opened the year with a win. Silas Talbot scored two touchdowns for the Badgers, one a 5-yard run and the other a 60-yard TD pass from Jordan Little who had two passing TDs on the night. ... Pilot Rock/Ukiah went up 34-0 at halftime and cruised to the 42-8 victory over Pine Eagle behind a big game from Carter VanHouten. The senior threw for 155 yards and four touchdowns, and also ran the ball for 145 yards and two more TDs. ... Cove won at Enterprise 40-18 behind Will Williams, who rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns and had two sacks. Jonah Layne threw a touchdown pass and ran for a 51-yard score and Brody Fite rushed for two touchdowns and had two interceptions.

Kooper Grover powered a No. 2 Joseph 46-13 victory over No. 10 Sherman thanks to five total TDs. Grover had five catches for 70 yards and three TD, rushed for 128 yards and a score, and returned a kickoff 62 yards for another TD. Isaac Beachy led the defensive effort with six tackles, one sack and a fumble recovery. ... After an 0-6 2024 season and trailing 6-0 at halftime, Ione/Arlington came back to beat Wallowa 27-12. Carter Eynetich rushed for 162 yards and two TDs while fellow RB Adrian Mendoza ran for another 88 yards and two TDs. ... Reigning state champion Powers -- shorthanded with eight players this season -- bolted to a 19-0 lead after four minutes and held on for a wire-to-wire 45-40 win over Alsea. Brody Harless threw two touchdown passes, ran for a score and had an interception. Cole Lehnherr caught two touchdown passes.
