Vaughn also caught a TD pass from Zeke Thomas, meanwhile Maveryck Akers ran for three TDs and Zuzi Alwineyan ran for two more scores. … Koen Campos ran for two second-half TDs to help West Salem defeat Sheldon 29-14. Campos also scored the first touchdown of the game to give him three scores on the night. … Jakai Phillips was the hero again for North Salem, this time thanks to a touchdown run with 26 seconds left in the game to down South Medford 19-13. The two were tied at halftime thanks to Quenton Lake passing to Braxton Singleton for a 17-yard TD for the Vikings right before halftime.
A fourth-quarter touchdown was enough to keep No. 6 Nelson in front and hold on to a 17-14 win over Newberg. The Tigers scored with less than three minutes to go to pull within three, but didn’t get the ball back as the Hawks ran out the time. … Four interceptions, with one going for a score, helped Sunset take down Roosevelt 42-6. QB Marcus Hahm made sure the turnovers hurt with 198 passing yards, two passing TDs and a rushing TD. Bryan Cox had two rushes for the Apollos, both going for touchdowns. … 6A Barlow won the 57th annual rivalry matchup with 5A Gresham 30-17 thanks to Caleb Meyer. The RB ran for 164 yards and three TDs while also chipping in a kickoff return touchdown to score all four of the Bruins’ touchdowns.

Blake Timothy had a rushing TD, a receiving TD and a pick-six to lead the effort, meanwhile Greyson Murff had 143 yards rushing and two more TDs. … Sandy took care of McMinnville 58-6 behind five total rushing TDs, two coming from Caden McMahon. … Sloan Baker threw for 285 yards and five touchdowns to help No. 2 West Linn breeze by No. 7 Sherwood 49-7. Two of those TDs went to Josiah Molden, who also had 159 yards receiving. ... Sprague took down North Medford 55-21 behind a balanced offensive attack. QB Carter Lovell threw for 195 yards and three TDs, meanwhile Isaac Tindall did the damage on the ground with 211 yards and three more TDs.
Luke Ortner carried No. 9 Jesuit to a 34-21 win over Tigard thanks to a huge night on the ground. The junior ran the ball 38 times for 357 yards and three touchdowns in the win. … LaMarcus Bell had 87 rushing and two TDs, plus an interception, to help No. 1 Lake Oswego down No. 3 Central Catholic 21-0. Both Bell TDs came in the first half, and the only score in the second half was a pick-six from LO’s Jalen Bauman. … Daniel Heninger couldn’t be stopped in Glencoe’s 42-26 win over Clackamas. Conneely made 11 catches for 171 yards and three TDs as the Storm came over the mountains for the win. Jude Anderson helped run out the clock with 103 of his 157 rushing yards coming in the fourth quarter. … Pretty much everything went right for 5A No. 5 Dallas in a 65-0 win over 6A Ida B. Wells. Defensive lineman Zack Nelson had a strip and fumble return TD as one of the many highlights for the Dragons. … Bam Layna powered 5A No. 9 Hood River Valley’s 35-0 win over 6A Grant. He had three rushing TDs and returned an interception for another score to continue a hot start to the season.
Justin Fisher ran for three TDs to help power a 47-6 No. 7 Thurston win over Eagle Point. Camden Nosack had a first-quarter, pick-six to help the cause. … No. 10 Churchill ran behind Lukas Babbitt for a 35-7 win over Roseburg. Babbitt had 30 carries for 220 yards and with three TDs. … Solger Pescosolido scored three TDs and Aiden Hibler had a kick return TD and receiving TD to help power a 58-18 North Eugene win over South Eugene. Despite being down 28-0 at halftime, the Millers battled back behind three rushing TDs from Noah Solo. However, Springfield fumbled the ball on its first play of OT and QB Kaden Cooper snuck the ball in for a TD on the Lava Bears’ possession to win the game.
Redmond had two interceptions and scored a late touchdown to take the 21-7 victory over 4A No. 10 Pendleton. … Tyson Walker had another interception for No. 6 West Albany to help the Bulldogs take down Caldera 33-6. QB Enoch Niblett threw three TDs and 149 yards while the ground game picked up 188 yards. The Pirates also picked up four turnovers on defense. … No. 1 Cascade pulled away in a 59-37 slugfest over visiting No. 2 Scappoose. Cade Coreson threw five TDs for the Cougars, meanwhile Scappoose QB William Kessi threw for three of his own. Matthew Hinkle had two TDs for Cascade, and Bryce Kuenzi had 100 yards rushing with two TDs.
No. 4 Henley ran for nearly 300 yards to dominate in a 33-7 win over No. 5 Marist Catholic, a rematch of last year’s 4A state title game won by the Spartans. Joseph Janney had 160 of those rushing yards with three TDs while Jeremiah Burunick chipped in 101 yards and a score. … No. 9 Estacada picked up three turnovers off of North Bend and had a strong night on the ground from Thomas Classen to win 28-6. Classen had 126 rushing yards and two TDs.

Johnson threw for 225 yards and four TDs with Hartley on the end for 151 of those yards and three of those TDs. … A game-opening safety kick started a 23-0 first quarter en route to a 54-6 win for 3A No. 3 Cascade Christian over 4A Hidden Valley. Bryson Walker had two rushing touchdowns and a kickoff return to power the scoring. … Sutherlin rushed for 497 yards en route to a 46-6 win over Creswell.
