The finals are on Saturday.

6A

Jesuit 3, Mountainside 0 – The Crusaders, ranked No. 1 nationally by at least one poll, extended their winning streak to 37 matches with a 3-0 blanking of Mount Hood Conference rival Mountainside on Tuesday. Callan Harrington scored the first goal of the match in the 18th minute, with an assist from Maddy Koleno, and the defending 6A champs scored twice more – a goal from Alison Sasaki assisted by Katie Duong and Duong finding the net with an assist from Kati Zimmerman – to take the win and, in the process, record the team’s 17th shutout on the season. “It was a great high school game,” said Jesuit coach Steve Fennah. “Mountainside was excellent, well-organized and well-coached.” Jesuit will face Clackamas in the final, a team it defeated 5-0 on Aug. 29.

Clackamas 1, West Linn 0 (OT) – Kyla Sullivan converted a penalty kick with 3:43 remaining in the second overtime, a low skidder to the right of West Linn keeper Alyx Burkhartzmeyer, and the Cavaliers won on the road to avenge a earlier 4-0 home loss to the Lions. Clackamas, which has won 13 matches in a row since that loss, 11 by shut out, controlled play in extra time and earned the penalty kick after a nice through ball created a one-on-one chance for Sullivan. Burkhartzmeyer came off of her line and challenged, but was judged to have contacted the player before the ball. "This was a great battle between two evenly- matched teams," said Clackamas coach Manuel Martinez.. "Both teams displayed why they are amongst the top in 6A girls soccer. There were periods of time that each team dominated possession and had chances to score. All four elements -- Goalkeeping, Defense, Midfield and Forwards -- played at a top level for both teams."

5A

Churchill 2, Corvallis 1 (PKs) – Churchill won a penalty kick shootout on a goal from Ciana Reyes after regulation play and 20 minutes of overtime failed to produce a victor. Churchill scored first at home, as Haley Sherrill found the net with five minutes remaining before halftime. Corvallis, which upended top-seeded North Eugene in the quarterfinals, knotted the match in the second half. Emmi Freeman, Katie Simon, Maddie Young and Makenzy Stiffler all converted penalties for the Lancers and, when Corvallis missed one of its shots, Reyes converted to send Churchill to its first championship match since 1990.

Crescent Valley 2, West Albany 1 -- Cali McClave scored on a free kick in the 22nd minute and Amelia Wilson scored in space less than four later and the 10th-seeded Raiders held off West Albany to win its third straight 2-1 decision in the playoffs over a higher-seeded team. Bethanie Marteeny scored with 14 seconds remaining in the first half to put West Albany on the board and the Bulldogs fought hard late in the match to get the equalizer but could not find the back of the net again. With the win, Crescent Valley advanced to the championship match after having been eliminated in the semifinals the previous two seasons.

4A

Hidden Valley 1, Marist Catholic 0 -- Senior Teagan Danner scored the lone goal of the match for the top-seeded Mustangs, who earned a state championship rematch with the win. Valley Catholic won the title in 2017 by a 1-0 count. Hidden Valley (16-1) will take a 12-match winning streak into Saturday's title tilt. The Mustangs have yielded just eight goals all season.

Valley Catholic 4, La Grande 2 -- Valley got off to a fast start at La Grande, scoring two goals, both by Callie Kawaguchi, in the first four minutes. The Tigers rallied and pushed the Valiants, but a goal in the 58th minute by Riley McGee and Kawaguchi's third goal of the match 10 minutes later was enough to send the defending champions back to the final.

3A/2A/1A

Catlin Gabel 9, Blanchet Catholic 0 -- See OSAAtoday feature story on game at this link: http://www.osaa.org/today/article/304/view?title=Soccer%3A+Catlin+Gabel+puts+two+teams+in+the+finals

Oregon Episcopal School 6, St. Mary’s (Medford) 5 (OT) – The four-time defending state champions had to rally on the road for the chance to get “one for the thumb.” OES scored three early goals in the match at Medford, by Emily Ford on a penalty kick in the fifth minute, by Olivia Giannini in the seventh and Ford again in the 16th, but the Crusaders responded with four unanswered goals, three in the last 10 minutes, to close the first half. Maddie Wheelock scored one of them and assisted on two others and Megan Michels scored twice and assisted on one other for St. Mary’s, which also got a goal from Emma Bennion. Trailing by a goal, the reigning champs tallied the tying goal in the 49th minute when Stephanie Finley penetrated the box on her dribble and beat St. Mary’s’ keeper on the ground. Sophie Chen scored for the Aardvarks 15 minutes later on a shot from 22 yards out to give OES the lead once more at 5-4. Michels scored her third goal of the match with seven minutes remaining in regulation with nice dribble penetration and a shot to the far post after a Wheelock pass and the teams went into overtime. No team scored in the first 10 minutes, but with five minutes gone by in the second Finley used her quickness and dribbling ability to get free and score the clincher.
