Austin Maurer had a big game Friday to lead Cascade Christian back to the OSAA boys basketball quarterfinals. The senior center and Grand Canyon University signee had 29 points, 14 rebounds, six rebounds and three blocks in the sixth-seeded Challengers' 73-30 home win against No. 11 seed Riverside. Kellan Kleker added 18 points with five 3-pointers and Avery Huston 13 points and five assists for the defending state champions, who have six losses this season but none against 3A opponents. Cascade Christian led 45-13 at halftime after 16 assists on 20 field goals. ... Will Ficker had 19 and Dax Hanzlik 16 as top-seeded Westside Christian defeated No. 16 seed St. Mary's 74-38. Kahlid Hodge added 11 points and Jack Leland 10 for host Westside Christian, second in 2023. Westside coach David Henry said player of the game honors went to Leland "due to his insane defense on Cannon Anderson." Anderson finished with eight points, six rebounds and three assists. ... 

Terren Crabb had 22 points and Jack Lidbeck 16 points with four 3-pointers in No. 5 seed Harrisburg's 56-50 home victory over No. 12 seed Umatilla. All four of Lidbeck's long balls came in the third quarter. Umatilla's David Garcia also had 16 points including four 3-pointers. ... Jaylen Hill tallied 16 points, nine rebounds, four assists and two steals in third-seeded De La Salle North Catholic's 61-36 home win against No. 14 seed Creswell. Quincy Aranda added eight points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals and Dre'Cion Gates 13 points, four rebounds and six steals for De La Salle, which forced 32 turnovers overall. The Knights outscored Creswell 24-4 in the second quarter to lead 33-15.

Gavin Hall and Diggs Sladek poured in 24 points apiece as top-seeded Western Christian defeated visiting Faith Bible/Life Christian, the No. 16 seed, 77-43. Kuga Matsumoto added 14 points for Western Christian, last year's second-place state finisher. ... Austin Snyder had 17 points and Joshua Louka 16 points and 13 rebounds in No. 7 seed Mannahouse Academy's 57-37 home win against No. 10 seed Lowell. Jadon Bjornsgard had nine points in the first half for Mannahouse, fourth in state in 2023. For Lowell, Wyatt Smith had 16 points and Rowan Files nine points and 13 rebounds. ... Stanfield finished on a 20-6 run to pull ahead and hold off visiting Kennedy, 56-45. Kennedy was denied a return trip to the quarterfinals after finishing third last year. ...

Third-seeded Portland Christian stayed undefeated with its 58-38 home win against No. 14 seed Illinois Valley. ... Isaiah Koehnke had 27 points and three Regis teammates joined him in double-figure scoring in the second-seeded Rams' 81-29 home win against No. 15 seed Knappa. Rylan Bischoff chipped in 12 points, Jude Pokorny 11 and Julius Pokorny 10 for Regis, which was led defensively by Lucas Koehnke. Jacob Ogier had 10 points for Knappa. ... Fifth-seeded East Linn Christian jumped out to an 18-6 lead after one quarter on its way to a 61-40 home win against No. 12 seed Colton. Blake Knurowski had 22 points and four steals to lead East Linn. Tanner Israel added 21 points and three assists and Elliot Nofziger eight points, six rebounds and three blocks for the Eagles. ... Gabe Williamson has 22 points and six rebounds in fourth-seeded Oakland's 61-44 home win versus No. 13 seed Gervais. Joe Fusco added 20 points and Coltyn Jacobs four points and nine assists and drew three charges for the Oakers.

Cody Siegner had 28 points in top-seeded Crane's 81-40 home win versus No. 17 seed Bonanza. Josh Zander added 21 points and Carter Nichols 15 for Crane, the 2023 state champion. ... Tee Ledbetter finished with 19 points and 15 rebounds in Union's 59-27 home win against Falls City/Kings Valley Charter. Chase Koshinsky added 16 points and 10 rebounds, Trae Frank 13 points and Evan Cloutier 10 points for the eighth-seeded Bobcats. Elliott Foust had 12 points for No. 24 seed Falls City. Union led 28-9 at halftime. ... Tate Freeman scored 19 points along with 10 rebounds and four steals in seventh-seeded Lost River's 58-44 home win against No. 10 seed Perrydale. Chase McAuliffe added 16 points, Connor Dunlea 15 points, five assists and five steals and Emmett O'Brien 14 rebounds for Lost River. ... No. 19 seed Elkton pulled off its second straight road playoff upset, this time defeating third-seeded Open Door Christian 58-52 to advance to the quarterfinals. On Tuesday, Elkton won 69-54 at Crosspoint Christian. ... 

Ben Hemelstrand scored 32 points and Kyler Hemelstrand 27 in No. 12 seed Crosshill Christian's 87-83 overtime win at fifth-seeded Dufur. For Dufur, Cody Phillips had 27 points and JJ Johnston and Jacob Kent 20 apiece. ... Jack Foley had 18 points and Chimi Gilbert 17 in fourth-seeded Trinity Lutheran's 67-37 home win against No. 20 seed Spray/Mitchell/Wheeler. Foley added four assists and four rebounds and Gilbert five assists and four steals. Chace Nichols contributed 12 points, five assists and four rebounds for Trinity Lutheran, which led 42-20 at halftime. ... Hunter Vaughn had 28 points, eight steals and five rebounds as 11 seed North Douglas won 69-60 at No. 6 seed Sherman. Jayden Montgomery added 14 points, Wyatt Reed 12 points on four 3-pointers and Tucker Kallinger 10 points, six assists and five rebounds for North Douglas.
