Southridge smothers Clackamas; Grant rallies past Sheldon; Beaverton shoots down West Linn

A rundown of Thursday's action at the Pacific Office Automation Holiday Classic at Franklin High School:

Diamond bracket

La Jolla Country Day (Calif.) 56, Camas (Wash.) 28: Marisa Urbano-Sedlund made five three-pointers and scored 17 points to lead the Torreys, who also got 14 points and eight assists from Jazzy Anousinh.

The Torreys held Camas to 22-percent shooting, including 1 of 11 on three-pointers. Jalena Carlisle and Haley Hanson scored six points apiece for the Papermakers.

Southridge 51, Clackamas 17: The Skyhawks dominated the Cavaliers, holding them to 5 for 34 from the field and forcing 21 turnovers.

McKelle Meek had 14 points and four assists and Stanford-bound Cameron Brink had 14 points, nine rebounds, four steals and two blocks for Southridge. Payton Benedict had five points and eight rebounds for Clackamas.

Garfield (Wash.) 61, McMinnville 41: The Bulldogs of Seattle, the state runner-up last season, had little trouble with the Grizzlies, leading 16-7 after one quarter and 30-14 at half.

Dalayah Daniels had 13 points, seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks for Garfield. Kira Wood hit three three-pointers and scored 13 points.

Gretchen Sorenson led McMinnville with nine points and nine rebounds.

Sierra Canyon (Calif.) 61, Jesuit 47: Game story link

Grant 68, Sheldon 57: Schuyler Berry, a 6-2 sophomore, made 9 of 13 shots and had 23 points and eight rebounds as the Generals rallied past the Irish.

Grant trailed 44-41 entering the fourth quarter but outscored Sheldon 27-13 to pull away. Amaya Aldridge had 12 points and seven assists and Marin Leonard and Monka Hickok each added 11 points for the Generals.

Sheldon got 21 points from Aly Mirabile and nine points and eight rebounds from Makayla Scurlock.

Beaverton 63, West Linn 48: The Beavers shot 14 of 31 from three-point range in the rout of the Lions.

Mackenzie Naro hit five three-pointers and scored 17 points to lead Beaverton, which led 37-16 at half. The Beavers also got four three-pointers and 16 points from Alexa Borter, three three-pointers and 13 points from Sydney Erikstrup and seven assists from Mary Kay Naro.

Audrey Roden scored 21 points and Aaronette Vonleh had 12 points and eight rebounds for West Linn.

Kentridge (Wash.) 72, McNary 48: Reigning Holiday Classic champion Kentridge advanced by shooting 53.2 percent in the win over the Celtics.

JaQuaya Miller, a 6-4 post who has committed to Washington, made 7 of 12 shots and finished with 21 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals. Jordyn Jenkins, a 6-2 junior, made 7 of 8 shots and had 17 points.

Leah Doutt had 19 points and eight assists for McNary.
