Wildcats thump Scappoose 103-54; No. 1 Blanchet Catholic girls top No. 2 Salem Academy

Wilsonville 103, Scappoose 54: The Wildcats scored a school-record 41 points in the first quarter and had a school-record 68 points at halftime in the rout of the Indians.

Jack Roche had 20 points, 15 assists and four steals and Dakota Reber had 18 points and seven rebounds for Wilsonville, which also got 16 points from Keegan Shivers. Jake Boyle and Kyle Negelspach each scored nine points for Scappoose.

Barlow 78, David Douglas 71: Jesse White scored 28 points and Evan Inglesby added 26 points as the Bruins turned back the Scots in a Mt. Hood Conference game.

Barlow took an early 10-point lead and extended it in the second quarter. David Douglas closed the gap in the second half but never got closer than four points. The Bruins led by 14 after three quarters and by 19 in the fourth quarter.

The Scots made 12 three-pointers, getting three apiece from Geo Baxter and Trenton Templeton. Baxter scored 16 points and Templeton and Jeddah Barrow added 12 points each.

Trinity Lutheran 79, Chiloquin 58: Matt Eidler had 29 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists and Cash Niemeyer had 18 points and 10 rebounds for Trinity Lutheran, which took control by outscoring Chiloquin 26-16 in the third quarter.

Eidler had 19 points and six assists in the second half. Chiloquin got 17 points each from Dan Herrera and Tobias Vasquez.

West Albany 46, Dallas 39: Luke Killinger scored 14 points and Carter Weisensee added 11 points to lead the Bulldogs to the win.

GIRLS

Blanchet Catholic 48, Salem Academy 40: The top-ranked Cavaliers took over first place in the 3A PacWest Conference by beating the No. 2 Crusaders, avenging a loss in last year’s state semifinals.

Blanchet Catholic rallied from a 13-point deficit in the third quarter to win behind 21 points from Ana Coronado. Salem Academy was led Kirsten Koehnke’s 20 points.

West Linn 70, Canby 45: The Lions, who lost starting center Aaronette Vonleh to an injury 10 seconds into the game, dominated the Cougars behind sophomore guard Audrey Roden, who had 34 points, nine rebounds, nine steals and three blocked shots.

Vanessa Viuhkola added 16 points and seven rebounds for West Linn, which also got 10 points and four assists from Elisabeth Dombrow. Nicole Mickelson scored 18 points for Canby.

West Albany 50, Dallas 33: Maddy Rice scored 14 points to lead the Bulldogs, who made eight three-pointers.
