Highlights from Week 6 football games around the state on Thursday-Saturday:

6A

QB Sloan Baker helped No. 1 West Linn settle in and win 30-20 over No. 7 Lakeridge. Baker threw for 174 yards with a TD to MJ Kennybrew and also had a five-yard TD run. Shane Peters added in a 39-yard punt return score. … No. 3 Central Catholic dominated in a 57-0 win over Reynolds. QB Robbie Long tossed four TDs while Cole Thomas and Tayton Promma-Harris each had a kickoff return TD. KK Sombe added a receiving and rushing TD. … No. 4 Willamette stayed unbeaten with a 42-22 win over North Medford. QB Zeke Thomas threw for 352 yards with four TDs to power the Wolverines, 185 of those yards going to Hunter Vaughn who also caught two TDs. 

North Salem put up a strong fight but fell to No. 8 West Salem 37-24. The Vikings had QB Quenton Lake throw for 263 yards with two TDs, most of that to Braxton Singleton who had 181 receivings yards and the two scores. … Luke Ortner ran free in a No. 10 Jesuit 63-27 win over Beaverton. The RB ran for 396 yards and six TDs to power the Crusaders’ offense, meanwhile QB Jack Wilson added in two passing TDs and 136 yards. … Roosevelt escaped a heated rivalry matchup with Jefferson 28-14. Geovoney Burks scored twice on the ground to help the Roughriders.

Finn Davies threw two TD passes to Blake Timothy to help Lincoln get by McDaniel 35-6. Greyson Murff returned the opening kickoff of the game for a TD and Devin Prendergast had two sacks on defense. … Kurt Jordan scored three times on the ground to give Ida B. Wells enough in a 28-20 win over Grant. Ramsey Prentice had two interceptions on defense for the Guardians. … A Rashawn Hunter-Barber 87-yard TD run got Franklin rolling in a 48-6 win over SE Portland rival Cleveland. Hunter-Barber finished with 135 rushing yards and three scores while QB Silas Combs threw for 226 yards and three TDs, most of that to Evan Roseborough with 111 receiving yards and two TDs.

Newberg got the job done in a 35-7 win over McMinnville. Chace Macken ran for 127 yards and scored once while QB Parker Sellner had 113 passing yards and two TDs. Ethan Hein was everywhere with 52 receiving yards, 80 rushing yards and three total TDs. … Heath Thompson got the job done on the ground for Westview in a 22-16 win over Sunset. The RB ran for 240 yards with all three TDs for the Wildcats and also had a 56-yard interception return on defense. … Daniel Heninger was back to finding the end zone for Glencoe in its 49-20 win over Liberty. The RB had 306 rushing yards and five TDs while QB Nolan Wolfe added in 116 passing yards and a TD.

Sherwood cruised to a 49-10 win over Century behind a strong ground game. Jayden Wallace scored two of the Bowmen’s four rushing TDs while Jack Wilson had a rushing, receiving and punt return TD. … South Medford scored with 1:36 left in regulation to tie Sprague at seven and then won in overtime 13-7. The Panthers late score came from Makana Brown hitting Alijah Ingram for a 25-yard TD. Isa De La Torre forced a fumble for the Panthers on the Olympians opening possession of OT, and Brown recovered it. Kellen Lefebvre had a 24-yard run on fourth down for the Panthers to start their OT possession, and then Brown punched it in for the win.

5A

No. 1 Summit rolled in a 49-7 IMC win over Bend. RB Jude Anderson couldn’t be stopped with 139 rushing yards and three TDs, and his QB Andrew Guthrie wasn’t bad either with 265 passing yards and three scores. … Despite injuries stacking up, 5A No. 2 Silverton rolled to a 40-16 win over 6A Grants Pass. Nolan Horner made the start at QB for the Foxes and threw for 263 yards and three TDs. Levi Schurter added 58 rushing yards and two TDs. … No. 3 Dallas went up early on No. 10 West Albany and was able to hold off the Bulldogs in a 25-14 Dragons win. QB Thomas Hess had three passing TDs in the first half as the second half was nearly all defense besides an Aiden Galusha rushing score for the Dragons.

No. 4 Mountain View blanked Caldera 38-0. Ryder Carpenter and Angel Valenzuela each had a rushing TD and QB Alex Toolan tossed two more scores. Carpenter also had a 62-yard punt return in the third frame that made it 35-0 Cougars. … No. 4 Wilsonville raced to a 50-7 win over Canby. QB Trevor Glos was the catalyst with 344 passing yards and five TDs. Luke Carli was the top target with 108 receiving yards and three TDs. … No. 6 Lebanon powered itself to a 49-3 win over South Albany. QB Brison Edwards threw for four TDs and 216 yards, and added a score on the ground. Kobe Zurfluh helped the defensive effort with two sacks.

No. 7 Thurston cruised to a 44-7 victory over Crater. Bentlee Davenport had three interceptions on defense, including a 30-yard pick-six in the fourth quarter. QB Emmit Distefano tossed three TDs while three different Colts ran for scores. … No. 8 Ridgeview coasted to a 41-8 win over Crook County. QB Gage Hobbs threw for 177 yards and three TDs, two of them to Danner Frost who also had three sacks on defense. … An 87-yard drive in the fourth quarter that ended in a TD was the difference in Milwaukie’s 28-25 upset win over No. 9 Hood River Valley. QB Jayden Locke threw for 274 yards and three TDs, including the game-winning score to Jay Brandon with 3:23 left in the game. Raymond Perez chipped in two interceptions on defense for the 5-0 Mustangs.

La Salle Prep gashed David Douglas for 459 rushing yards in a 46-16 victory. Sean Fennell ran for 125 yards and four TDs, Sterling Dressel had 154 yards and a score, and Tony Luna had 111 yards. Jora Atwal had two interceptions on a night where the Falcons collected five turnovers. … Hillsboro scored on a blocked punt and had a pick-six in a 48-7 victory over McKay. Emmet Curl added in 95 passing yards with a TD and 23 yards rushing with another score. … Adler Case accounted for four scores in Forest Grove’s 42-21 win over Aloha. Case tossed for 107 yards and two TDs while also rushing for 41 yards and two more scores. Jonah Gillette had 99 rushing yards with a TD as well.

Lukas Babbitt had a rushing TD and Lucas Gansen hit Mikey Johnson on a long TD before halftime en route to a 36-6 win over North Eugene. … Springfield took down South Eugene 35-0 behind 100 rushing yards and two TDs from Noah Solo. Adam Hernandez caught two TDs and also ran for one to help round out the scoring.

4A

QB Enoch Niblett had a field day for No. 2 Marshfield in a 54-12 win over Ashland. The QB had 142 rushing yards with four TDs, and he also threw for 114 yards and three more scores. … No. 3 Scappoose won the 7-Mile War with St. Helens once more in 50-0 fashion. QB Will Kessi threw for 181 yards and four TDs. … Griffyn Boomer scored three times to help No. 4 Tillamook take care of business against Astoria 35-15. Boomer caught two touchdowns and rushed for a third along with 148 receiving yards. 

No. 5 Henley had the offense to keep North Bend at arms distance in a 57-32 win. QB Joseph Janney was the focal point with 237 yards rushing and two TDs, as well as 149 yards passing and two more scores. Trapper Cundall also had 90 rushing yards and three TDs. … No. 7 Stayton got by Molalla 41-0 behind two passing and one rushing TD from Madden Hughes. … No. 9 Philomath found its groove in the second half to take down Cottage Grove 33-6 after holding a slim 7-6 lead at halftime. Rocco De La Rosa caught two TD passes and had an interception while Gavin Bennett scored twice on the ground and caught one TD.

3A

No. 1 Cascade Christian scored 28 in the first frame and kept the good times rolling in a 69-0 win over Phoenix. Deryk Farmer passed for 229 yards with two TDs and also rushed for a score, meanwhile Caleb Scaglione returned his fourth punt return TD of the year. Bryson Walker rushed for TDs as well. … No. 2 Banks held Kennedy to just 125 yards of offense in a 42-7 Braves win. Jarrett Martin scored twice on the ground and had a 75-yard punt return TD at the buzzer of the first half. … Tommy Winn scored three times on the ground to help No. 3 Burns get a top-10 win over No. 7 North Valley 38-18. QB Jack Wright also hit Coltin Miller a couple times through the air for scores to keep North Valley at a distance the whole night.

No. 4 Dayton tore up Scio on the ground with 381 rushing yards in a 41-0 win for the Pirates. Stephen Macias had 131 yards and two TDs while Kolby Wofford did some dirty work to score TDs on only two rushes. … It was another good night out east with No. 5 Vale taking down Nyssa 49-0. QB Cal Johnson had 177 passing yards and one TD, along with 58 rushing yards and two TDs. Thomas Rodriguez chipped in a couple scores on the ground and caught a TD while Troy Dayton had two interceptions on defense. … No. 8 Siuslaw scored with 16 seconds left in the game to get a wild 46-42 win over Douglas despite 259 passing yards and five TDs from Trojans QB Ryder Sawyer, who also rushed for 64 yards. Tom Morgan returned a kickoff for a TD, had a pick-six and caught a TD pass for Siuslaw and Jericho Lake tossed three TDs.

No. 9 Sisters and Madras played as well as any team can on defense, but someone had to score, and it was Sisters in overtime to win 3-0. Joseph Derksen hit the game-winning, 20-yard field goal for the Outlaws. … No. 10 Santiam Christian made quick work of Newport in a 49-6 win. Steen Smith was stellar on the ground with 141 rushing yards and three TDs while QB Brendan Fitzpatrick tossed three more TDs. … A second-quarter touchdown was just enough for Umatilla in a 7-6 win over McLoughlin. The Pioneers scored in the third quarter and went for two, but Kyle Carlton and Linkin Zamudio got the stop for the Vikings. Zamudio ran for 144 yards.

Valley Catholic scored two fourth-quarter TDs to steal a 35-28 win over Yamhill-Carlton. QB Alex Adams continued his stellar season with 340 more passing yards and four TDs. Marcos Muller was the main target with 219 receiving yards and two TDs. Tyler Pond had 221 rushing yards for YC. … Kol Tolan powered Taft to a 42-21 win over Salem Academy. The QB rushed for 201 yards and two TDs along with a passing score to James Tolan. Riley Gilbreath was also strong on the ground with 158 yards and three TDs. Kol Tolan and Gilbreath each had an interception on defense as well. … Pleasant Hill was feeling it in a 52-0 win over La Pine. QB Steven Bounds threw for 216 yards and four TDs while Jacob Neely had 116 receiving yards with two TDs, as well as 48 rushing yards and two more scores.

Sutherlin snuck by Brookings-Harbor 28-21 thanks to another solid night from the duo of Tucker Mack and Eden Cardoza. Mack rushed for 101 yards and a TD while Cardoza ran for 96 yards with two TDs, as well as one receiving score. Cardoza scored with 4:20 left in the game to break the 21-21 tie. … Coquille dominated possession time in an 18-13 win over South Umpqua. Oliver Girard ran for 123 yards and one TD and Tallon Dubisar had a 46-yard fumble return TD. … Klamath Union took care of Lakeview 33-0. QB Reese Johnson threw for 247 yards and three TDs, most of that going to Tuko Saluskin with 117 receiving yards and three TDs. Travyn Ruano added in 97 rushing yards and two TDs.

2A

No. 1 Heppner scored 44 points in the first quarter en route to a 74-6 win over Stanfield. QB Caylan Proudfoot threw for four TDs, three of them to Tripp Stewart, and Jace Wilson and Alakae Rodriguez each ran for two TDs. … No. 2 Lost River sailed in a 51-6 victory over Rogue River. Kellen Dunlea had 206 rushing yards with a rushing and receiving TD while Drew McDonald caught three TD passes. … No. 7 Oakland scored twice in the second half to hold on for a 22-18 win over Gold Beach. Shepard Brooksby had 121 rushing yards with two TDs while Ryan Fullerton hit Tanner Swearingen for the third and final score in the fourth to win the game.

No. 8 Myrtle Point scored three times in the second to break open the game and defeat Glide 28-0. Two of Jake Sproul’s three passing TDs came in that second quarter. Skyler Zick caught one of the TDs and also had a 45-yard punt return TD. … No. 10 Clatskanie scored twice in the second half to take down Harrisburg 20-14. After falling behind 14-6, the Tigers got a 65-yard TD pass from Will Van Voorst to Daylon Gutierrez on the final play of the third and then Lucas Andreasen scored on the ground with three minutes left in the game. 

Weston-McEwen won behind Jace Dunlap in 40-26 fashion over Enterprise. Dunlap ran for 175 yards and three touchdowns to lead the offensive effort while Jonathan Leighty had a 60-yard pick-six on defense. … Freshman Edgar Valdes was the hero in Irrigon’s 20-14 win over Riverside in overtime. Valdez had the 21-yard, game-winning TD in OT after Riverside lost a fumble on its possession. Osmin Barrera had 175 yards rushing for Riverside who tied the game at 14 with less than two minutes left in regulation.

1A 8-man

Sixteen points in the second half and a pick-six helped No. 2 Dufur stave off Echo 30-6. Brayden Cortaberria had a night for the Cougars though with a TD catch, a sack, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. … No. 3 Union controlled the game against Powder Valley to win 36-6. Jackson Davenport scored twice on the ground and also had two interceptions on defense. Sam Platz recorded three sacks for the Bobcats and Jericho Rasmussen had two.

No. 10 Imbler hung on in overtime to upset No. 4 Elgin 38-36. Down 30-12 in the fourth, Elgin scored and recovered two onside kicks to eventually tie the game at 30 and send it to OT. The Huskies scored first in OT, but couldn’t get the 2-point try, which they failed to get all night. The Panthers got the tying TD from Carson Yancey, his third of the night, and then Yancey scored on the 2-pointer to win the game. … No. 7 Crosspoint Christian handed Riddle its first loss in 48-6 fashion. Baylon Cundall threw for 135 yards and four TDs for the Warriors, two of them going to Trey Johnston. Isaac Root had 101 rushing yards and Brock Thorne had 13 tackles on defense. … No. 8 North Douglas couldn’t be stopped on the ground in a 58-20 win over Country Christian. Easton Mast ran for 135 yards and four TDs and his teammate Jaycen Marois chipped in 128 yards rushing with four more TDs. 

Glendale went up 26-6 after the first quarter and carried that lead throughout to take down Prospect Charter 40-18. Dylan Tinsley and Huntyr Rocha each had two rushing TDs and Ashton Brady pitched in one on the ground. … Lalan Wilder had a night in Chiloquin’s 60-28 win over Camas Valley. Wilder ran for three rushing TDs and also returned a fumble to the house. Justin Parrish caught and rushed for a score and QB Denver Bravo passed for two scores and rushed for one.

1A 6-man

For the first time this season, someone scored on No. 1 Harper Charter but it didn’t make much of a difference as the Hornets still beat No. 4 Joseph 62-7. Madoxx Martinez ran for four scores for the Hornets while Richard Joyce caught two TDs and had a pick-six. … No. 2 Triangle Lake scored on the final play of the game to defeat No. 3 Eddyville Charter 19-13. QB Owen Mooney hit Ivan Surcamp for a 10-yard, game-winning TD. Surcamp caught two TDs on the night and also had an interception and fumble recovery. … No. 6 Dayville/Monument/Long Creek got back in the win column with a 62-18 win over Ione/Arlington. Preston Fretwell was everywhere once again, rushing for 191 yards and three TDs along with one receiving TD, one kickoff return TD and one punt return TD. 

Andrew Houx did a little bit of everything in No. 9 Elkton’s 34-0 win over Crow. Houx had 163 rushing yards with three TDs, caught two passes for 89 yards and a TD, had 10 tackles and one interception on defense. The Elks picked up four turnovers on the night to pitch the shutout. … Falls City rushed for 534 yards in a 69-0 win over Mapleton. Brayden Graham had the majority of it with 196 rushing yards and three scores, meanwhile Avery Burgess wasn’t far behind with 164 yards and three TDs. Tanner Stilligan chipped in 97 yards and two scores.
