What Are Emerging Activities?

The purpose of emerging activities are to grow meaningful interscholastic participation opportunities for students in athletics and activities that have the potential to meet the required number of schools participating to be considered for official sanctioning by the OSAA.

Girls Flag Football

At the Delegate Assembly meeting on 10/7/2024, Girls Flag Football was unanimously approved as an emerging activity beginning with the 2025 spring season. 2025-26 will be Year 2 of the activity.
