Please note: these polls are for generating interest and discussion only and have no impact on the OSAA ratings that form the basis of the OSAA’s rankings for playoff purposes.

Spotlight team: Summit Storm
Summit went 10-1 during the COVID season and returns a senior-laden team. With nine starters back, including seniors Alex Grignon and Nani Deperro, the Storm should be formidable. Keep an eye on freshman Kaden Roskowski, who has big-time scoring potential. “We have the players and will build a state contending team, one small detail at a time,” said head coach Joe LoCascio.

Spotlight team: Ashland Grizzlies
Ashland graduated eight starters from last season’s 9-1-1 team. Head coach Abdiaziz Guled knows he has big shoes to fill but there is talent in the freshman and sophomore classes to fill it. The Grizzlies do return five key players, including senior striker Davidson Graham.

Spotlight team: La Grande Tigers
La Grande went 5-1-2 in the spring, including a shutout of Baker / Powder Valley in the snow in Baker. The Tigers have graduated 18 players in the past two seasons, making this a young squad. Defender Jarom Huntsman and midfielder Lucas Young are two seniors expected to supply leadership.

Spotlight team: Dayton Pirates
Dayton is a team on the rise. Its 9-4 mark during the spring included the first tournament final in program history. The Pirates return seven starters, including leading scorer Benjie Hudson and three-time all-league midfielder Daniel Anguiano. Head coach Jony Miramontes also welcomes a great freshman class sure to make an early impact.
