Sara Schmerbach filled up the stat sheet with 15 points, seven rebounds, six steals and four assists as top-seeded South Medford got past No. 16 seed Sherwood with a 56-45 home win. Kim Ceron added 14 points, Taylor Young 12 points and four assists and Mayen Akpan seven points and nine rebounds for South Medford, last year's state runner-up. Sherwood got 18 points and nine rebounds from Ava Heiden and 11 points from Sabrina Flowers. Heiden was 5 of 5 on field-goal attepts and 8 of 10 at the free-throw line. ... Second-seeded Clackamas outscored West Salem 23-10 in the third quarter to push its lead to 22 in a 75-50 home win against No. 15 West Salem. Clackamas' Sara Barhoum had 28 points (24 through three quarters) along with five assists, three steals and two blocks. West Salem's Emma Zouniga also scored 28 points. ...

Sara Mangan had 31 points in eighth-seeded Southridge's 60-55 home win against ninth-seeded West Linn. Southridge led by 16 after three quarters before fending off a late West Linn rally. Reese Jordan scored 13 of West Linn's 17 first-half points. ... A 23-0 run covering more than nine minutes provided the cushion sixth-seeded Benson needed in a 62-34 win against No. 11 seed Nelson at the Marshall campus. Benson's Mahogany Chandler-Roberts had 17 points, including 11 in the third quarter that helped her team pull away. Eboni Clay added 15 points with four 3-pointers and Mauriana Hashemian-Orr 13 points with three 3-pointers. Ella Shackleton had nine points and Lainey Day seven for Nelson, which played without leading scorer and rebounder Love Forde due to a knee injury sustained in practice Friday. ...

Fourth-seeded Jefferson took a 12-point lead after one quarter on No. 13 seed Forest Grove and remained in control through in a 67-37 home win. The Demos led 19-7 after one, 33-17 at the half and 56-33 after three. ... An Audrey Bayless 3-pointer just before the halftime buzzer gave 10th-seeded Jesuit a lead it wouldn't relinquish against seventh-seeded Tualatin. The visiting Crusaders extended their lead in the third quarter with Kendra Hicks leading the way then held on for a 39-31 victory. Hicks had 23 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Crusaders. Bayless added 11 points, four rebounds, four steals and three assists and Sophie Costarella four points, five rebounds and three steals for Jesuit. Jaylyn Arosemena had 10 points and Jordyn Smith nine for Tualatin.

A 16-0 second-quarter run helped Silverton pull away from No. 16 seed North Eugene for a 58-30 home win. That run put the Foxes ahead 26-11 at halftime. They extended the advantage to 21 (40-19) after three quarters. Silverton's Kyleigh Brown had 19 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. Allie Mansur and Grace Hayashida added nine points apiece and Justina Semerikov had eight rebounds for the Foxes. ... Second-seeded Crater outscored No. 15 seed Caldera 24-0 in the first quarter on its way to a 71-26 home victory. Sage Winslow had 25 points, eight steals and six assists and Abby Winslow 15 points for the victorious Comets. ... Third-seeded Corvallis had four players in double figures in a 75-40 home win against No. 14 seed Canby. Holland Jensen had 18 points, Kate Rueck 17, Marlee Hammer 15 and Parker Doerr 11 for the Spartans. For Canby, Kindra Slagle had nine points and four rebounds; RayAnne Schedler eight points; Harmony Davies six points, five rebounds and three assists; and Katie Spillum four points and five rebounds. ...

Seventh-seeded and defending state champion Springfield rallied from three points down entering the fourth quarter to get a 61-51 home win against No. 10 seed Central. Springfield led by 13 after one quarter and by eight at halftime, but the Millers found themselves trailing after three. Springfield's Danaeja Romero-Ah Sam scored 27 points with four 3-pointers along with four steals and three assists. Teammate Diamond Wright contributed 12 points and four rebounds. Central's Hadley Craig had 22 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and three steals, while teammate Emily Newbeck added 12 points on four 3-pointers. ... South Albany's Taylor Donaldson had 23 points and 12 rebounds in the sixth-seeded RedHawks' 58-37 home win against No. 11 seed La Salle Prep. Millie Moss and Maddie Angel scored eight points each for South Albany.

Third-seeded Philomath saw a double-digit lead disappear then rallied for a 53-52 comeback home win against No. 14 seed Baker. Philomath led 16-3 after one quarter and 25-17 at halftime. But Baker responded to lead 34-30 before Philomath's 7-0 run to end the third put the Warriors back in front, 37-34. Philomath's Emily Taunisila had 18 points on 7 of 11 from the floor, including four 3-pointers, and four assists. Reagan Heiken added 17 points on 8-of-9 shooting, five rebounds and three steals and Anneka Steen 14 points, five rebounds, four steals and three assists for the Warriors. Gracie Spike scored 21 points and Emy Myer and Ashlyn Dalton 11 apiece for Baker, which made eight 3-pointers in the game. ... 

Rylan Davis had 22 points and double-digit rebounds in seventh-seeded Madras' 73-42 home victory against No. 10 seed Seaside. Sasha Esquiro chipped in 11 points and Maija Poland nine points for the White Buffaloes. ... No. 12 seed Pendleton's Hailey Schmidt had 20 points with two 3-pointers in a 56-42 loss at fifth-seeded Klamath Union. ... Ninth-seeded Stayton outscored eighth-seeded Marshfield in every quarter to take a 50-28 road win. The Eagles led Stayton 13-8 after one quarter, 27-15 at halftime and 39-23 through three. ...
