The Marist Catholic girls and Siuslaw boys got individual wins and used superior depth to win team titles at the Paul Mariman Invitational in Philomath on Saturday.
In the girls race, Marist Catholic senior Jennifer Tsai won in 19:24.90, ahead of Siuslaw senior Rylee Colton (19:47.70) and Newport senior Aliya Larsen in 20:02.20. Marist Catholic had four of the top nine overall, to win the team title over Siuslaw, 44-65.
Vikings senior Chad Hughes led a 1-2 finish in the boys race, winning in 16:32.50, and Siuslaw had all five scoring runners in the top 13 overall, to defeat Philomath, 35-91. Junior Samuel Ulrich was second in 16:36.40 and Philomath junior Brody Bushnell was third in 16:44.70. Bandon finished fourth in the boys and girls team races, facing a lineup of some of the best 4A schools.
The Nike Hole in the Wall Invitational in Lakewood, Wash., provided Jesuit another opportunity to strut its stuff, and the Crusaders did not disappoint. For the second straight week, the nationally ranked Jesuit boys and girls swept the team titles at a prestigious invitational.
Undefeated senior Chloe Foerster ran to another convincing win in the girls race, and the boys team, led by junior Jacob Nenow’s fourth-place finish, had five in the top 27 for another solid victory with 67 points. Foerster ran 17:01.1 to win by 12 seconds, leading six Crusaders in the top 36 overall to outdistance Tahoma (Wash.) for the team title, 68-154.
Franklin senior Kaiya Robertson was second overall in 17:13.4 and Wells senior Charlotte Richman was fourth (17:21.8). Franklin finished fifth, Wells seventh and Sherwood 10th in the team race.
Sherwood senior James Crabtree stamped himself as one of the favorites in a deep 6A boys field with a course-record victory in the boys race (14:45.5). Crabtree also was the top Oregon finisher at Nike Portland XC two weeks ago.
Franklin senior Charlie North was second (14:54.9). The Lightning were third overall in the team battle, just behind Bishop Blanchet (Wash.), 118-124. Sherwood was fourth with 192 points, Wells was 12th and Grant 15th.
Lincoln dominated the Champoeg Invitational on Friday, winning the boys and girls team titles and senior Kendall York crushed the old course record by almost 30 seconds in 17:30.00. Sunset junior Paige Wiley was second in 17:32.90, also dipping under the old record. Apollos freshman Kailua Balazs was third in 18:08.90 and Cardinals sophomore Keira Saavedra was fourth in 18:11.70.
Lincoln showed excellent depth with all seven runners in the top 18 overall, defeating Sunset 31-54.
Tualatin senior Caleb Lakeman led four runners under the old course record at Champoeg and broke 15 minutes for a third time this season, winning in 14:57.50. Lincoln senior Aidan Smith was second in 15:00.90, ahead of Sunset senior Benjamin Balazs (third in 15:03.30) and Cardinals senior Tucker Bowerfind (fourth in 15:06.70).
Lincoln had all five scorers in the top 10 overall, with a 43-second gap, to easily win the team title over Sunset, 33-66.

Girls -- Crescent Valley freshman Emily Wisniewski won by almost a minute over Corvallis junior Avery Nason, 18:20.51 to 19:13.75, leading the Raiders to the team victory. Crescent Valley beat Corvallis on the sixth runner, as they were tied 28-28 through five. Team Scores: Crescent Valley 28, Corvallis 28, Silverton 85.
Boys -- Crescent Valley had the top four places to dominate the team competition with 20 points. Seniors Blake and Cade Byer went 1-2 for the Raiders (16:02.92 and 16:22.59) and junior Kanoa Blake (16:32.77) and senior Henry Coughlin (16:33.80) were third and fourth. Team Scores: Crescent Valley 20, Corvallis 43, Silverton 63, North Salem 107.
Stayton Regis Invitational, at Stayton MS Nature Trails, Wednesday
Girls -- East Linn Christian freshman Daisy Lalonde won convincingly in 20:52.2. North Clackamas Christian senior Breanna Steele was second in 21:10.2 and Stayton junior Hope Bridge was third in 21:13.1, leading four Eagles in the top seven for the team victory.
Team Scores: Stayton 29, Harrisburg 59, Oregon Episcopal 61, Santiam 99, Santiam Christian 116, Portland Adventist 139, Riverdale 140.
Boys -- Santiam Christian junior Benjamin Bourne won by 40-seconds in 16:37.8 leading the Eagles to the team title. Oregon Episcopal junior Olin Gister was second in 17:17.6, ahead of senior teammate Tyler Edwards in 17:33.5.

Crater Track Twilight 5K, at Crater HS, Friday
Girls -- Grants Pass senior Madison Wilt got the victory in 18:49.00, leading five Cavemen in the top 14 overall to defeat Crater for the team title, 35-57. The Phoenix duo of senior Sophia Stubblefield and junior Kyla Potratz were second and third, 19:01.0 and 19:02.0
Team Scores: Grants Pass 35, Crater 57, Klamath Union 75, Phoenix 77, Roseburg 98.
Boys -- Crater junior Tyrone Gorze won by more than 30-seconds in a fast 14:29.30, leading five Comets in the top 12 to win the team title with 26 points. Comet freshman Josiah Tostenson was second in 15:03.40, just ahead of Marshfield junior Alexander Garcia-Silver (15:06.60) and Ridgeview senior Finn Anspach (15:08.30).

Tiger Invite, at La Grande Country Club, Friday
Girls -- La Grande sophomore Emily Tubbs won by more than one minute in 19:32.60, leading the Tigers to the team title with 35 points. La Grande had four of the top six overall placers; freshman Cecilia Villagomez (second in 20:45.90) and sophomores Kiah Carlson (fourth in 21:08.00) and Faith Calhoun (sixth in 21:41.90).
Team Scores: La Grande 35, Baker 51, Union 53, Imbler 80.
Boys -- Pine Eagle senior Caleb Brown won convincingly in 17:04.30 and Union had five of the top 10 places to dominate the team race. The Bobcats were led by junior Taylor Fox (second 17:51.00) and sophomore Eli Williams (third in 18:00.40).
